Control-M Version 6.3.01

Agent less scheduling
CONTROL-M/Agent installation is now bundled with the CONTROL-M/ Server installation.
CONTROL-M can now open and close a Remedy ticket (version 6.x) during post processing
CONTROL-M/EM now has a new central administration interface known as the CONTROL-M Configuration Manager

Control-M Version 6.4.01

CONTROL-M DO Remedy post-processing actions (for jobs or business services) are now supported for Remedy Helpdesk 7
CONTROL-M/Server offers a lightweight database server as an installation option. This option (PostgreSQL) reduces product complexity and footprint; lowers hardware requirements; and simplifies installation, deployment, and updates.
You can save a script or JCL as part of a job definition. This enables you to schedule a script that is located in the CONTROL-M database rather than on a target computer.
Control-M Version 6.4.01 Two new cyclic modes have been added to the cyclic scheduling option to rerun a job after a fixed interval.

In CONTROL-M/Desktop, you can open one or more local (draft or XML), online (direct database access), or CONTROL-M/Forecast workspaces at the same time.

  v Control-M/Server components now fully support 64-bit Windows platforms
  v You can define a set of rules on a group of jobs with the new Workload         Management. feature that enables you to do the following:
   ü Limit the resources available to the group of jobs
   ü Limit the number of jobs within the group that are concurrently running
   ü Route specific jobs within the group to a specific node or node group.
  v Version Manager.
  v Specific user actions can now require users to write a free text         annotation, describing the reason for the action, before the action is performed
  v Active Directory/LDAP group level authentication.

Control-M Version 8

   v Released in Oct’2012
    v Simple, familiar and modern user interface
    v Enhancements to BMC Control- M/Server submission, tracking, and analysis processes improve throughput.
    v Agents can be upgraded without scheduling any down time.
    v Reduce the cost of managing workload automation by simplifying the user interface
    v Streamline the most common functions required to manage jobs by combining all required activities into a single tool.
    v Enable constituents in workload automation to collaborate through a virtual workspace
